Check your run before you go down.

When you ski, your phone is in your pocket. You cannot look at it while you ride. So look at the radar at the top, before each run.

At the top of your run

  1. Stop at the side

Stop at the start of your run, at the side, where others can see you. Open trailbuster.cc.

  2. Select 1600 m

Tap ⚙ and select 1600 m. The radar shows hazards, animals and bottlenecks up to 1.6 km around you.

  3. Look at your run

Find the reports on the map in the direction of your run.

  4. Lock your phone

Lock the screen, then put the phone in your pocket. A locked phone cannot report by mistake.

  5. Ride with care

Trailbuster shows reports. No report does not mean the trail is clear or safe.

Many runs are longer than 1.6 km. Look again at the next lift or at the next stop.

Saw something? Report it at the place.

Your report goes to your position. Stop near the place, at the side of the run, and tap HAZARD or ANIMAL. One tap is enough. Do not report later at the bottom: then the report is in the wrong place.

Trailbuster has no information about avalanches or snow conditions. Check the bulletin of your official avalanche service before you go.

Good to know

  • With the screen locked, Trailbuster does not run: no ping and no km for your Trail Pass.
  • Bottlenecks come from phones with the radar open. In your pocket, your phone does not help to find them.
  • On a bike in summer, keep the phone on the handlebar with the radar open. Then the ping comes while you ride.
  • Tip: under ⚙, select the style Winter.
